Car is a shell on a rotisserie, crates are to hold everything in place so I could put the bolts in (kind of a heavy assembly to shoulder).

Please tell me that you are not supporting the entire weight of the car with milk crates.  Is there some other support that I'm not seeing?

I'm really glad you posted these pics, I have been considering a similar set up for my car.

abodyjoe. ok, so it made an improvment over your old 6cyl. springs. but i still wonder if it works as good, or better, then a car with SSs and a good pinion snubber. i guess it's still a little to new for anyone to know for sure. still, it is a very nice kit, and i would really like to go with airbags. and yes, before anyone says it. i'm the jerk who wants the best of both worlds. handling and hook. the more i think about it, i might just do it and see what i can make of it. only time will tell for sure. anyway, to abodyjoe and automan63, looking good!!

yes its better the the 6 cyl. springs definatley..  but you really can't argure with a 1.632   60'  time with my set up...  going from 1.68 to a 1.63 is a huge difference... i have no doubt that if i spent some time messing with the shocks and maybe move the lower bars to the top hole that it would probably be even faster in the 60'. but i don't race it enough to wory about all that crap....   as far as "hook" goes..  my left front tire was getting 6 inches of air under it..  how much more "hook" do you want?   thats with a 26x9.5-14 hoosier qtp...

as far as "both" worlds go..  SS springs and a snubber aren't really gonna help you handle.

abodyjoe, no agree, SSs and a snubber is not going to help handling. that is my current set up. but i just don't want to move backwords by installing his new kit. i don't think it will, but i worry sometimes.

Actually, we'll find out in about 2 weeks. A fellow that saw Joe run has a 10.80 car with SS springs and is having 60' problems. I'm sending him one on monday and he said he'll be installing it right away. It'll be a good test on a more serious drag car that's aready working well on leafs. I'm anxious to see how it works in the 10's...

Thanks for the pics.   LOVE IT!   Gonna be a real nice Dart!  Was amazed at the size of wheel/tire you have under there, then realized you have the spring perches moved to the frame.
