Killing a generator.
« on: May 09, 2007, 03:49:39 PM »

On my old Duster with a stock 318 I had some charging system issues.  I replaced the generator with a Bosch reman.  At the time of the replacement the battery was severly discharged sitting about 8.5-9 volts.  Upon start up the generator went to charging at full charge and started making all sorts of noise. Did this twice and the third ti I replaced the generator and charged the battery before starting and had no issue Has anyone else seen or herd of this or know where i may find an article stating the same issue.
