my lateset progress
« on: May 20, 2007, 01:29:53 PM »

this whole project has been pieced together in a roundabout way mostly because of time, space, moving across the country(twice)lack of money and always changing directions.
by doing it piece by piece and not a full rotisserie has cost me twice the time(at least)and more money too,I'm not complaining, just saying. If my car was done I would'nt know what to do with myself anyway.
I wanted to paint the dash and figured a new windshield would'nt hurt, but then i found this Frustrated

\/][ and to think i was done with rust repair(so naive)
i found this donor piece it was an original petty blue 340 dart that a guy took a torch to because he wanted to take the car to the dumps in the bed of his pick-up  Gangster

I can't take credit for this work here but i thought he did a good job

all shiny now !nanr

here is another example of me being cheap and changing plans,at first i was o.k with not painting my door jams,i said I'm not vain i just wanna race, well after 100's of hours and 1000's of dollars a little vanity sets in and you want your car to look nice too,but it sure is alot more work doing it later.
before

after

I'm happy with it and it looks good,no more green and no more rust, but if i ever build a car again it will definately be a rotiisserie no b.s. build.

A rotisserie is just a tool. How you get there doesn't matter.

Your car looks good - I remember the windshield channel rust. Looks like whoever fixed it did a good job.

It looks great! I can't wait till I get that far along.
The light at the end of the tunnel is still a long way off for me.
