I need your opinion

I just bought my new project, a 66 Dart GT.  I bought it for $400.  Do you guys think it is worth it.  It came with a jack, new jumper cables, owners manual, repair book for old mopars and even a new battery and radiator.  I know it has a slant 6 now, but we even drove it home.  Tell me what you guys think.

It was actually a woman who sold it to me.  She was askin for 750.  I offered her 400 and she jumped at it.  I think she just wanted to get rid of it.  If I pressed the issue I bet she would have given it to me for a hundred bucks.  honest

one more for today. itd be awsome to take a early dart and road course race it today. why oh why did chrysler not keep its lil a-bodies running in the trans am series is just strange to me.

Thats the plan.  Only thing is my dad and I bought it and we're keepin it at there house because my parents have more room, tools, etc. The problem is, my mom said for us to keep it there, we have to first fix grandma's deck (her mom), sell my brother's 65 chevy pickup, get my duster off there property.  These were the conditions set forth by the one in charge.  So before my dad and I get to start workin on the 66, our weekends are pretty full for a month or so.  Go figure

Sounds like you got a decent deal too with all of those extra parts.  What kind of cookie was it?

Nice 66 mopowers! Much better than my starting point! It will be a little tougher to find stuff for it but don't give up. Throw a stroker small block in it and go smoke some chevies!

yeah, just leave that slant six in there to tool around in, then when you get all of your v 8 parts ready to go. yank it out, put in the big block, and its all done in one night. heck yes. heres what my car came with. scarry!
