Wow, your weekend sucked. Mine started out a little funky. Check this out: I was picking up my 2 1/2 year old son from my wife's cousin who watches him. While picking him up, my wife calls me and says she ran out of gas. I drive to where she is and she's sitting there with the lights on. I said turn the car off. I poured 2 gallons of gas in the car, tell her to start it up and guess what? CLICK!! The battery is stone dead. I asked what she had on. "The air conditioner, it was hot". I asked, didn't you notice it wasn't cold? It can't work with the car off. She said No one ever told me. We left the car, went ten miles home to get jumper cables only not to find my good set (or any set). I borrowed a jumper from my friend and went back to get the car. All in all, it wasn't too bad. I was only an hour and a half late for my card game. Sucks about your ex fiance. Don't let her get to you, though. They love that crap.

Well, mine has been a somewhat crappy 3 weeks. At least I'm back in the states for the last few weeks, but when I arrive the wife is so sick she has to have someone else pick me up at the Chas. Airport. I end up having to check her into the hospital two days later where she spends almost a week there and has her gall bladder removed. After I get her out of there I decide to have the truck's A/C looked at since it only worked for one day when I got back. Mind you, I spent a lot of time and money fixing it before I left for Turkey. They tell me the compressor is locked up and believe it failed internally and put metal shavings in the entire system so I need to have the system flushed before I change the compressor. So I decide to leave it for when I come back in 9 months and take the old lady up north to visit friends and family using her Jeep instead. Wouldn't you know it, this is the first time I didn't take the truck and also the first time that diesel was cheaper; in fact $.50 to $.75 cheaper per gallon everywhere I stopped. We were invited up to the lake for this past Sunday so I decided to pull the pontoon out Saturday and get it ready. While trying to line the truck up on the pontoon, I pulled forward and ran into the fire hydrant in the front yard. I messed up the front bumper and the bottom bumper cover. Then while I was sitting there with the truck running I notice something smelling really hot. Now it turns out that with the compressor locked up that the compressor clutch must be dragging and smoke is coming from the compressor. No big deal, I'll get my non-A/C belt out of the garage and put it on. Nope can't find it because the garage is such a mess. I decided not to go since last time it was such a hassle to find someone that carried a non-A/C belt.
At least I got to spend 3 weeks with the old lady; even if the first week was sleeping in a chair next to her hospital bed.
