Did anybody see that new show last night on TLC called "Wrecks to Riches"? I had heard about it awhile ago; but didn't know when it would be aired. My Gosh! That 69 Hemi Roadrunner was SWEEEEET! (Hey; was that guy with the retro hippy hair the head of Magnum Force? They kinda gave that impression I thought)

Yup, thats him. Also, if you just saw the first show, then you missed all the good shows last season. They did a few mopars last season, a 69 Dart and a 71 Road Runner. I really like that show because they do realistic stuff that we all can do, and they keep a running tab on the total. http://www.supermusclecar.com/cars.html

that tab is what his shop would have charged for the parts and labor, not what it cost him.when he set the reserve for 65k(what they said his cost was)he was already making a profit. you noticed the magnum munch, did you also see the o'rielly guys or hear the plugs for mopar performance? this is a commercial venture and alot of parts get 'comped. not that it's a bad thing, just what is. I wonder how many corners are cut building these things in a short time for the sole purpose of profit?they even show some blunders on the show, imagine the stuff on the editors floor.

Ron Jennings is the owner of MagnumForce. I think Bill R. has been kickin his butt and now Ron has to go on TV to promote his product.

I don't go for all of the hype and soap opera either, BUT, the fact is the cars are at least up and running when he is done and not still rotting away in some field or garage. out of both seasons, my favorite was either to blue 70 Torino, or the Merc race car replica they did last season. (I tink it was a Murader, but I am not sure.) They look kind of cool when they are done, and It beats watching CSI re-runs!!!

I don't want to be too critical, but that 69 runner had 68 tail lights and deck lid. For 74K I'd expect a little better.

Actually, that '68 had a '69 grille ![\/][](http://www.bigblockdart.com/Smileys/classic/finger020.gif) Go ahead and be critical, I am! There's a LOT I don't care for about that show, starting with the whole premise.

Just watched the show this moring, nice looking car. But went on ebay to look it up, at least barrysspeedshop and they went private, don't show the feedbacks. I see they are down 87%, it was 93 when the show was on, makes you wonder.

Man I've been ranting about that show for a couple of days now. was it really a road runner? last year they made a GTX out of a satitlite. 68 or 69 ha it's his trade mark to fill the marker light holes. 69 grill 68 t-lid and taillights. and how many of you guys and gals have painted your car and then put the trunk floor in? man i fell sorry for the guy that bought that one maybe i need to start my own super car shop then i'd be able to use all the extra parts i have laying around and instead or restorations they could be incorrect supercars! thanks i needed that

The "R" is the same, but the second letter "H" in the VIN is for the satellite. Road Runner's are "M", GTX is "S"

so that would make it a fraud, because he's claiming it to be a real rr.

I read thru the auction real quick, didn't see one mention of it being a '68 satellite, other then the VIN being posted a couple times. I have a feeling the winning bidder is a ford fan with that user name, oops

so that would make it a fraud, because he's claiming it to be a real rr. Actually, it says 'recreation'. On two counts, I suppose....it's a Roadrunner 'recreation', and it's a 1969 'recreation' They should have called it a '68, I think the only '69 parts on it are the grille and headlight bezels

i hate the show, i think the guy is a jackass, and i dont even like the cars. one thing sticks out in my head, when i watched a pontiac build, they couldnt figure out why the hell it wouldnt start, his wife came with a print out, he had the firing order backwards. imagine the shit they do off the camera if they showed that on tv. i hated too see what they did to the torino, it was a really nice clean solid original survivor car, they painted it some modern color and left the original interior which did not at all go with the paint color.

Unfotunatly barry banks on the fact that at a high pressure auction block a person doesn't have the necessary time to look a vehicle over. eve with ebay a buyer has the option to check up on the item and the owner.
Ron Jennings got himself a plug on Monster garage when he was on the show. he ripped out a perfectly good axle and basically let it drop a good 4-5 feet down onto the ground. his work is discusting.
So how'd he explain the modification on his front end?
