Ya know; I might just go with the old school type of traction bar and paint it black.........I hear music........."I see a yellow bar and I want it pain-ted black........."
Maybe you could reproduce them slappers. Paint them black, patent them, and sell them on ebay.  Slappers are also known as curb and speed bump catchers. I had a friend that cut through a corner gas station, caught a speed bump with a slapper, and almost pulled the rear end out from under his Road Runner. A buddy has a 68 Camaro with mono leafs and CalTracks. He drives it on the street and has no problems.

I was just looking at these Cal Trac plans online wondering if they would be good for a high 10 sec mostly drag car anyone have any ideas? Maybe beef up some of the sizes.... 1/4 or 5/16 instead of the 3/16 plate??

I see a lot of 9 and 10 sec cars running CalTracs.
