So I went to a local junkyard yesterday to look at a truck but found some seats instead. There was a four door Valient Brougham?? sitting just behind the truck. Inside I could see what looked like original highback buckets or a bench. Turns out it was the buckets with no tears in the covers and all the pieces there, I'm getting them for $50! They will need recovered since they are not the right color for my Dart, but its a lot better than my plastic RCI buckets. I'll get pics when I pick them up today.
By the way, what is a Valient Brougham?? It has the pointy nose like my 73 Swinger so that make it a 73 and up? I've never seen one before and this one is complete...engine looks to be a 318 with collumn shifted auto.

That was back when Chrysler was into "rich Corinthian leather". It's basically a pimped out dart 4 door.

Oh, I see its fancy... Actually its a pile of rust, but the interior is complete, steering wheel, everything!! Its too bad its the wrong color inside, I would love to take a couple more parts off of it and still might grab a couple things from under the hood.

I'll look at the brakes if I get out there again, it was really muddy today, so I stayed on my feet. I bet this car won't remain for long, its ugly with rust...and 4 doors! I found the original owners manual in the back of the seat, its in good shape and it says 1974 so I am guessing thats what the car is.

Yep.....if it's a 74, and has a V8, then it'll be LBP disc brakes on the front.....you better snag them soon. If you're lucky, it might even be a 8.25" rear end.

Well I actually have both the LBP discs and an 8 3/4 in my car, so I have no use for either of those parts. I bet they don't crush it they don't have much for mopars out there.

Brougham (carriage)
Invented by Henry Brougham, 1st Baron Brougham and Vaux, Lord Chancellor of Great Britain, a brougham (pronounced "broom" or "brohm") was a four-wheeled horse-drawn carriage of the nineteenth century. It had a low body with a box seat in front for the driver. In the rear was seating for two or four with two doors.
In the 1930s, a brougham was a car with an open seat in front for the chauffeur and an enclosed cabin behind for the passengers.
Cadillac used the name on their Cadillac Brougham in 1916, and it would later be used on their top models throughout the 20th century.
Over the years, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge have also used the Brougham name to differentiate the more comfortably-appointed versions of a given model; Chevrolet Caprice Classic Brougham, Pontiac Parisienne Brougham, Chrysler New Yorker Brougham, Plymouth Valiant Brougham and Dodge Monaco Brougham have all been produced.
