I am looking at a Strange or Moser 60 for my Dakota project and was thinking about running disk brake setup from a ford explorer for the rear and was wondering what housing ends I would ask for? Also what year explorer parts do I look for? Or is there an easier solution?? Which do you all like better the Strange or Moser? Also does anyone know of anything higher sped for a D60 than 3:54 'S
Thanks

Ford motorsports sells the complete explorer disc set up for under $400. You want the new style big ford ends for those brakes. I have old style big ford ends on my dana and ended up modifying the rear brakes off a '95 crown vic to fit. I got the parts for $35 at a U-pulit yard but spent a few hours on the milling machine before they would work. I had to change the flange bolt pattern and shorten two of the slider pins to clear the leaf springs. The rear came with the old style ends or I would have just bought the kit.

I have an S60 in my Dart with the Ford Brakes. Like stated above, late big Ford ends. The brakes are Explorer specific BTW; 1996 through 2000. Aftermarket brake lines are available. And all popular gears are available.

I have an S60 from Strange in a 686 Camaro with Explorer discs. IIRC they were cheaper through Strange than Ford. I also have an S60 from Strange in the Valiant but it uses Aerospace Components discs with big Ford ends..
