I noticed the other day when I was following my wife in her convertible, that the drivers brake light wasn't as bright as the passenger side. It's not a ground problem, the bulbs are relatively new, the lenses and housings are clean (washed inside and out), the lenses do not appear to be significantly crazed or cracked and the bulb sockets fit in tight and secure. I'm not a resto magician or anything like that, I just like things to look right and function properly. I was wondering if there is anything else to check and if there wasn't, is the inside of the housing able to be painted to brighten it up? If it can be painted. what type would be used? Daryl

if it was recently painted, check the ground between the housing and the fender, there might be a lot of paint and no ground.
