Seems like the chassis build is a bit suspicious to me, too. A straight axle and transverse leaf up front?.....rather outdated design compared to what was there in the first place, and probably could have been left there for use.

the car has a model t frame under it. you could pull the body and put a t bucket on it and go.. sans a ton of safty features fixted...first... on second thought the body looks straight...you could yank and put a real chassis in it... cheapst.

I beleive they call that suicide front suspension when the axle is ahead of the frame rails.
