Has anyone here used the stock throttle rods for a /6-V8 conversion? Does anyone have a picture of the throttle linkage for a slant 6 early A? I'm in the process of smoothing the firewall on my 66 and am trying to decide if I can run the stock linkage for my big block, or if I need to weld up the holes and use a pedal and cable from a late model A body. And I can't find my linkage in my garage, so I need to know what it looks like.

S6 uses a twist/rod set up. The V8 uses a different pedal assy and different holes in the firewall.

close the holes and start from scratch, not only will it work properly but will look alot better. Thats what I'm thiking. I pulled a gas pedal assembly off a 72 valiant last weekend that I'll probably end up using. I didn't realize early A's used different set-ups for /6 and v8 cars. At first, I thought the throttle rod would be really cool if I could get it to work, but now it looks like more of a pain. cable it is then.
