i guys ! im a little boy from montreal canada , who just turned 22 .. i bougth a 65 valiant v200 = 65 dart 270 us .. and i have a 225 s6 in it .. i want to buy some ^parts to fix it but its verry hard cause even in the year one books i cannot find annything about the dart 1965 .. i want to swap a v-8 in it .. and i dont know were too start .. the car runs but needs an engine rebuilts , so i think to put an 340 or a 440 wedge engine will not be that bad !  ,,  So the question is .. even if a put a v-8 .. were do i have too start i have a place to work on it .. but technicly i dont know what to do and were too start .. what pieces can i buy first .. engine mounts , differential ?? it would help me verry much .. by the way the car is match number and ad never been rebuilted ever !  ill post some pics later ! thx again joe

Buy yourself a Mopar Magazine and look for Shumacher advertisment. 63-66 swap. Then read all tech articles on this site. Small block swap is a bit more "bolt in" than the Big block.

Small block is easier. You'll need: V8 mounts, K frame is OK. V8 centerlink V8 gas pedal or equiv. Exh. manifolds (I used 273 V8 manifolds for my 318 swap - - but they don't flow enough for a worked 340/360) - - I have a spare set if needed - - Larger radiator. SB 904 Trans - match to your shifter (cable??) Update brakes to disks...not req. but SMART! at least, go to a split system if keeping drums.
