I have a I guess it would be a GM AC Delco alternator, it has 1 terminal marked BAT and also has a plug end that connects to alternator with 1- Large red wire and 1- small white wire , I figure the the BAT terminal on Alternator would go to the BAT on starter, now where do the other wires go

if you look at the alt case you will se the other 2 terminals marked 1 and 2
#1 is for a dash warning light ( hook this terminal to one side of the light bulb and the otherside of the bulb to any +12v that goes hot with the key on) if the regualtor in the alt goes bad the light will come on. #2 is the voltage sense wire. you can run this wire to any place that has 12 volts on it when the key is on. (best bet is the "key" side of the ballast resistor)
You are correct that the batt terminal goes to the battery (or the starter lug if trunk mounted battery )
Hope this helps

Do you have to run the wires that are in the plug?

So i got the alt tested, its 105 amp GM CS series. It has a plug with 3 wires coming out the back PLUS a big one on the body that has BAT on it. One wire goes to a tach, the other goes to a lite and the other goes to the ignition switch. If I am running the Quickcar switch panel with the the starter button built in. I am guessing I can use the IGNITION switch on the panel OR the ford starter solenoid.......My idea was to run the IGNITION switch lead down to the Starter Solenoid (S on the ford solenoid) and attach the Alt wire that trips it to charge on that one as well OR do I need to run it JUMPERED to the BAT post on the Alt........Thanks guys

the "S" terminal on the realy is what make the starter turn. you need to hook the push button on that terminal. The alt should be connected to the the side of the ignition switch that is hot only whe nthe switch is turned on.

Is it a CS130? If it is, you'll have to install a diode in one of the small wires if you have MSD or the car qon't shut off. I'll look in my MSD book tomorrow and post where to install it.
Also, the CS130 is prone to heating up the rear housing and cooking the bearing. Someone makes a rear cover for it with cooling fins called the Iceberg housing. I had it on an old T/A and it worked mint after I did the housing upgrade. The bearing is also bigger in the iceberg kit.
