Got cluster back from GCar!!!

Just got my 67 Cuda instrument cluster back today from Gcar Trim (www.gcartrim.com) and it looks great.  I cant believe the job he did on this.  The person I bought it from didn't package it very well and the end was broken when it was shipped to me.  Glenn did a great job fixing the break, I cant even tell it was ever broken.  Also, somehow or another I accidentally either didn't take the flasher switch off or it got stuck in the box I shipped to him.  At any rate he reconditioned the switch and polished the chrome on it as well   

Here are some before pics... I also included a pic when I opened the box and found it wasnt shipped correctly









Havent even taken it out of the plastic bags yet... I will and take a few more pics of them completely unwrapped

really? i was thinking it was spray painted gold. that thing looks so nice, i wanted to build an aluminum panel for my 69, but it would be so nice to have something like that.

It was actually painted gold though it does look like a 3 plus a day smokers car

It was $225 to plate and detail the cluster.....$65 for the glove box panel.....polish the lens $45.....$27 each plate the large centers....$10 for the small centers.  The broken pieces cost 90 bucks to fix, but you cant even tell it was broken.     

Now if I can just get the rest of the car look that way

You might be right, that might be paint in your case, but I have seen nicotine stains that look that bad.

Thats not that bad for the amount of work that went into it.

The web address is www.gcartrim.com and the phone number is 509-238-4967.  The owners name is Glenn, I  have talked to him many times over the phone he is a great guy and he is a perfectionist to no end.  I accidentally somehow either left a flasher attached or it fell in the box, either way he not only cleaned up the chrome so it looks brand new he opened it up and cleaned the contacts up.  Can't say enough about service and the final product

My console isnt the best to judge his turn around time with.  I think total turn around time was about 3 months.  I do know when I sent mine in it was right before car show season and he told me he was getting pretty busy and a bit backed up.  I told him I was in no hurry, in which he seemed somewhat relived that I wasnt in a rush for it.  I was trying to get the minor stuff like trim and other stuff  out of the way so I wasn't waiting on it when body and motor are finished.
