Yet another snag
« on: July 13, 2007, 01:25:45 PM »

On my quest for a  bbd sign I just encountered another snag.  I thought I had a PS pump ready to go but unfortunately I can't use.  Out of the 2 that I have, one is a late Saginaw and the other a Federal and the brackets that I have won't work.  On the Saginaw, the brackets have provision for a bolt going into the block but my block does not have this hole, and the Federal I believe it's for an A/C application, which I will not be using.  I included some pictures maybe one of you guys can set me straight if I'm wrong and can give me some advise.  Thank you again for your continues help.

Dart Man,

I think we have encountered the same snag. What year is your block and body?

400Valiant,
The block is a 66, according to the stamp on it.  The engine is going into a 68 Dart.

DartMan, I am really sorry. Total  brain fart  You are doing a BB into the dart right? My problem was with the SB engine. The SB water pump in the 67 and earlier has an extra threaded hole that the later pumps didn't have and that was where the federal brackets bolted. Blah, blah, blah. My SB situation isn't going to have any bearing on your delima.

Again........... Dunno DUH sorry bout that
