1970 GTX disc brakes

Hi everyone!
I just purchased a 1970 GTX that came from the factory with front disc but somewhere in its life had drums swaped back in. What do I need to convert it back over. I would like to keep it as stock as I can. It is a n96 440 4 speed , dana car and is optioned out nice. Will the spindles need to be changed?? I have a freind with a 74 charger se that just installed lowering spindles and I could probable talk him out of the stock ones . Will they work?? . I know or think I can still get the rotors-calipers-hoses from a auto parts store??. I dont know if the proportioning block is the correct one for disc or they changed that out also. Any help would be great. . Been out of mopars for a little bit and I can see I might need help doing the right thing to the car. So far the Disc and a AM- tape are the only missing items off the fender tag,Thanks in advance Rich

Master cylinder part number 3420967 with a bail type cover, not bolt on. Should be a 1 1/8" piston.

Calipers: Single piston Kelsey Hayes 2 3/4" diameter unlike the 4 piston used in '68 - '69. Right side PN 2944712. Left side PN 2944713. Rotors 11 3/4" . '68 - '69 were 11.19" dia. The B and E bodies used the same disk brakes in 1970. Year One list the calipers but I doubt they are factory correct. http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/fbshopmain2.asp?cat=1

Power booster PN 2883056.

Brake pedal. Your GTX should have bright bezels for the pedal.

You are going to have trouble finding the correct peices unless you don't mind ebay. I can't find 11" drums at the parts house anymore.

I do not believe that a modern brake system would hurt the value of your car unless the brakes and radio are the only keeping you from 100 concours.

The booster appearance is the only giveaway. It comes with an O.E. style proportioning valve.

If you need steel or S/S brake lines there is Year One or www.rightstuffdetailing.com. I have bought from both.
