umm,that is mike's 68' Dunno  bat

You are correct sir. Mike did an excellent job on the car and we plan to keep it that way. It is first class all the way and many Kudos go to Mike and Lakeville Auto Body. I had been looking for a tube chassis car for almost two years and when I heard about this one being available I decided to persue it. I am very picking about what I like and I have never bought a T/K car before like this. Anyone who has seen my cars knows I am pretty particular about their appearance and performance. For me to buy it says tons about the quality of the car and the components used. Yes I plan to enjoy it...Must have missed my post on the other board about getting the car.....

My '71 duster was 3200# with
440/iron heads
727
8 3/4 on super stocks
gutted interior, just one plastic bucket but the dash is all there
no front bumper
removed the hood bracing, but it's steel

I think our weight of our car is around the weight of your car.
We have a fiberglass cowl hood, a 383 with aluminum intake and rad, no headliner, 727, 8 3/4 rear, manual brakes and steering, the driver (383Kidd weighs 140lbs) and the owner and part driver dad weighs, lets just say twice as much as me. Compared to your weight if a subtract my weight from your car, it is 3150, plus other little stuff that may add up to 150lbs, we may be weighing only 2900lbs.

i wouldnt count on that

my dads old race car set up-

duster, 10.30s bracket car, 440 all steel, 727, 8 3/4, no interior, full tubs, stock frame rail, fiberglass doors/front end (one piece), no heavy glass, all street stuff like wipers removed

3000 lbs on the nose

One thing is I beleive the 4 speed setup adds weight over a Auto setup.   There may even be quite a bit of diff in that area depending on bellhousing & flywheel used.  Plus you have Z bar, clutch  peddle assy and some other small things.
