Wish it was lighter but 69 Dart, iron headed B motor, all steel, with the procharger
was 3400.
This winter, changing to Dana rear with disc brake setup,
sold blower and building  500 B motor, (still iron headed)

Should still weigh in around 3350. Roll Eyes

Hey i sure that alot of you still have the October 2003 HOTROD mag around its the one with the red 03 Camaro 427 on the front, Well anyway it has a great article called LOSE WEIGHT NOW! It is a Duster that the do all kinds of things to drop the weight. The put glass fenders bumpers aluminum rearend chunk, mono leafs, fiberglass doors, aluminum wheels, put a tubular k- member and even drained gas... They end up lossing 588lbs off an already aluminum headed small block abody. Funny thing is their ets dropped .58 seconds in the 1/4.... And for your guys looking to drop a few pounds over the weekend... clean the under carraige, my bet is youll loose 8-10lbs

Had a 75 Duster. 440, iron heads, cast iron six pack, iron 4 speed, Dana, a/c , full bench seat interior. 75,s had those huge 15 mph bumpers with massive reinforcements, brackets and impact absorbers. It weighed 4100lbs! I had been bragging that the car would go "easy" 11,s. Finally got high 11,s by removing the bumpers, gutting the interior, and removing the a/c and such.

That duster weight has to be  B.S.  !
My D-100 Short box P/U weighed less than that, and my 67 valiant 2 door with a 383 weighed in at 3,200 with a full interior. A 440 doesn't weigh that much more.

I have to say .                            hammer
