Have any of you ever considered using late model seats in your cars? I just gutted the interior from a totaled 03 sebring. I was thinking about useing the front seats in my 71 valiant. the sebring was a convertable so the seat belts are incorperated into the seats. they are black leather sides with charcoal center sections. so I think they will match the black interior niceley.and they are all power . is this going to look stupid or what. I would like to hear some of your opinions...

Yes, I have seats out of a Chrysler/ Plymouth Laser....1984-85. They are black leather, they recline and the drivers seat has a manual pump-up thigh and lumber support. Very comfortable.

I had Lazer seats in my Charger. Yeah, they looked a little hokey, but man, were they comfortable.

I have front buckets from a 2000 or 01 Seabring Coupe for my Dart there grey leather but I'm probably going to have them recovered to match the rest of the interior.

I think one of my favorite features is the seatbelts (shoulder strap) is actualy in the seat back.I think it should make the install look a lot less cluttered. I am worried that maybe I should ad some extra braceing under the seats . I dont want them to be unsafe in an accident. the convertable they came out of probably had a lot more structeral support.

Yes definitely add reenforcement plates I use 4x4" of 16 Gauge steel squares welded top & bottom of the stock pan where the new seats will be attached.

I will keep that in mind . I have not even set them in the car yet. Ive just been trying to get a feel for what other people think about this kind of mod . Iknow somtimes a modern seat in an old car can kind of look silly.

yeah ,well if yours are any thing like mine. if your not careful when you sit down you could wind up looking at the ceiling and wearing that beer and amusing your family and freinds with that surprised look on your face. ![\/][](http://www.bigblockdart.com/Smileys/classic/finger020.gif) I just have an active imagination, nothin like that has ever happened to me.
