19 years ago i took my GTX apart, i busted it out today.......its lived in a horse barn, in a tent, 5 different shops, under a tarp, it even spent a couple of years outside totally neglected. i was working on it 5 or 6 years ago and got a bit sidetracked....... one day soon ill get to building my B B D, but i have a couple cars that have been patiently waiting for a long time. i have almost everything it needs. it'll be nice to free up some closet space. i really love this car.

I have a 68 roadrunner in almost exactly the same state. It's gone from my diesel shop to my mother's house to my current house where it's patiently waiting in a little crappy one car garage for it's new home.  As soon as I finish the house, I build my 24 x 30 man hangout.

racing(forest) green, white side stripes, black vinyl top

the challenger belongs to a friend of mine, im waitin on him..... there is a line forming at the rotissary, so the GTX has to get out of the way; and it aint comin down till its ready.

i did most of the hard work 5 years ago. it only needed quarters and trunk extensions. the hood is cherry, above average doors and fenders.  i finished mocking up all the body panels tonite, so there are no surprises later. everything fits like a glove.......

my first car was a '68 GTX.  loved that car beyond any Ive owned, before or since.  met my dearly departed wife in that car.  (miss you baby   Cry)

yeah, a lot of firsts in that ride    !nanr

not a bad buy for the $150 I paid for it.   never really looked any better than the one you have right now (actually that one looks better than mine ever did).   lol

i paid 900 for the GTX in 1985. drove it home, tuned it up, and drove it dependably for 3 years. i left it outside over a weekend at the shop where i was working and found it on its belly monday morning; no wheels, radio, or carburator  Madd  havent driven it since.
