I saw this on the yahoo group! does this make since to anyone? Is it saying that if I want the real chrome trim on my 67 notch then I need to purchase the 68-69 rubber for the windows and drill new holes for new clips so it will fit? Other wise use some fake plastic stuff that only last a few months, but is way cheaper!
67 used a different gasket and different trim than 68-69.
67 used fake "chrome" plastic "locking strips" that tucked into a groove in the gasket. Snapped-on stainless corner pieces are required to cover the gaps in the corners.
68-69 used a different gasket, with solid metal stainless trim all around, held in place by a few dozen screwed-on clips.
So, you have some choices here:
1. Original 67: keep the old gasket (if they can save it), or buy a replacement 67 gasket from the one outfit that stocks it. Buy the corner pieces and repro lockstrip from the same outfit. Pro: simple, works. Con: lockstrip will shrink within months, crack and discolor in a year or two (just like the original).
2. "CBC" option: use Ramcharger lockstrip instead of the expensive repro 67 lockstrip. Doesn't look quite the same, but is cheap enough that you can replace it when it cracks (and it will). Still need the gasket and corner pieces. Ramcharger part # 04467329.
3. Convert to 68-69: the problem here is finding the donor trim (not available repro). Start with ordering a 68-69 gasket, and a set of repro molding clips. Use the pattern (attached, and available in the "Files" section of the BOG site) to drill the holes for the clips while the windshield is out. Acquire the stainless molding from a 68-69 Barracuda coupe or fastback (not convertible), or any 68-and-up Dart or Valiant HARDTOP (not 4dr or 2dr sedan, not Duster or Dart Sport). This will be an attractive, permanent solution, if not "concours" correct.
The back window is basically the same story, except that obviously you can only use the trim from a Barracuda fastback. Good luck if you have a coupe... you're getting into the realm of the ultra-rare...

All true. I can not think of no other solution. If it helps any, I learned to drive in my dads 67 fastback so imagine our disapointment when the trim began cracking before the last payment was made! Also we had to deal with water leaks around the front and back glass. I've disassembled my 68 notch (in my sig/avatar) and the panel fit is terrible. No knock just the fact that these cars were mass produced and sometimes things just went out the door done or not. Don't be surprised if a generous helping of silicone sealer is needed after replacing the gasket to cover gaps around windshield in mismatched sheet metal. Buy the way, I have owned four 67 Dodge coronets, all were built at the same Hammtramck plant as my cuda and all were well built with no quality issues. I think the 'cudas are experimental.

Check out http://www.trimlok.com/detail.aspx?ID=1238 I have gotten samples of the chrome mylar strip and the black strip. I like the way the black fits in the channel better, has a slightly different contour. Its not like the stock strip but it fills the gap. The downside to it is- it's sold in 400ft lengths. Look on Ebay, too. There was a guy that seemed to be selling the same stuff but in smaller lengths more appropriate for a car. I bought some lock stip from Metro, but it tuned out to be a round bead that fits deep in the gasket. This combined with the above lockstrip looks to fit/function in a somewhat similar manner, but will never be mistaken as the real deal.
