replacement atrs. side marker light recess?

I  got 2 qtrs. from ABspeciaties for the 73 Dart.  I just noticed that the rear marker light cutout is recess.  my quarters have the light flush.  what gives?   do you flatten them out? use the recess?   or just fill in all themarkers?

I think most guys cut the old 1/4 around the marker light hole. I think that helps keep alighnment problems down. and keeps the hole in the correct position. also I think the only 1/4s you can get are for the recessed light.  Hot Rod , Car Craft , and Mopar Muscle have all had nice how to articles on 1/4 R&R .I will see if I can find them and post the month and year ,they have all been in the lastyear.  Scott

that's what I did. I just cut the quarter around the light marker hoies.

I can do that on one side, but the other side is pretty crumpled around the light area
