I am ready to order a driveshaft. There are many types out there. I am thinking alum. Not slod on it alone. I would like to know who has bought and where so I can get some info together. Any help would be nice(good or bad info).

i used dennys, i was going with an aluminum one, they actually talked me into a steel or cromoly shaft with a lifetime warranty against breakage. kind of pricey, but i dont want to be breaking a shaft at any kind of speed. i think it is called the nitrous ready shaft. there is also a place online that sells old nascar parts, they are only allowed so many hours of use i think. they sell them for 50 bucks but you have to change the tranny yoke as they come with gm yokes usually. they come anywhere from 3"-4" in 1/2" increments in length. by the time you changhe the yoke and u joints, you might have a good chunk into it though. i think its called musclemotorsports

i also run the nitrous ready driveshaft by denny's. best driveshaft i've ever had. no vibration or flex. yes it's a bit pricy but you definately get what you pay for.

any reputable local drive shaft co...can make you an aluminum drive shaft.... some times in a few hours.. just make sure you get the good/best joints...brute force are pretty comon. but your local shop should be easy enough as long as they are reputable.. yellow pages works for me. ? also be aware that aluminum drive shafts are larger in diameter than a steel one..so make sure you have clearence in the safty loop or where the mufflers are located...as not to interfere. cheap
