Been tryin' to get the paint off my trim where the masking job was less than adequate. Laquer thinner won't touch the stuff. I'm guessing it is enamel. Is there anything I can use other than stripper?
Thanks,
Chris e.

Can you get the trim off the car? Rock Miracle will take off any paint, but if you get it on the car, it'll destroy that paint as well.

if you cannot get he trim of the car try and put a piece of masking tape beween the tape and paint then use fine steel wool to remove the paint from the stainless and then ploish with your favorite polish and remove tape ...

Sooo true.I've used a razor blade before to get the majority off.Not for the weak of heart though.I really wouldn't suggest it.Just a last resort sota thing.

Guess I should have been more clear. Yes I have taken the trim off the car and need to clean it up. What is Rock Miracle? The butt heads that painted this car should have been shot

Rock Miracle is a badass paint remover. It works best when the temp is 70 degrees or more. It doesn't do much when it's cold. It should be available at a hardware store or maybe a paint store. I don't ever remember seeing it at the Depot. I'll look for a website.

Besides using a paint stripper, a good cutting compound should take off that paint as well.

If the trim is aluminum you may not want to use paint stripper as most of them contain sodium hydroxide (lye) which will remove the protective anodized coating. I have never really tried this on anodized aluminum but brake fluid seems to remove most types of paint and is safe on plastics.
