Ive been driving my old 69 dart and its been doing great, except last night the head lights were surging they would get bright and then dim regardless of the RPM i was turning? Im not sure what would cause this... I just changed the voltage regulator a little while ago and this is the first time ive seen it do this?? anyone know?

Check your grounds and make sure that they are making good metal contact. Check the rest of the wiring for corrosion at any of the connections. My 69 Dart was doing the same at idle, but I knew it was because of low alt output at idle, so I have now installed relays so that they get a good constant supply of power at any RPM, my grounds are also very good, metal to metal and larger wire size.
Good luck

Thanks man, i need to get on that ahh... maybe tomorrow. But Im sure its because of the lack there of, of a engine to chassis ground and the batt is grounded to the motor . I just took that off cause i was sanding on the fire wall, maybe if i would have thought it through i could have answered my own question. lolThanks
