Bearing Help?
« on: August 14, 2007, 03:34:28 PM »

Ive got two different spindles here. One is off a 87 Dakota and the other is off a 73 Monaco. I can get a hub that will fit the Monaco but am trying to figure out if it is at all possible to get it to work on the Dakota. They both  use the same outer bearing but the inner bearings are a little different.  Here are the specs for the Dakota bearing

BCA/NATIONAL Part # A18 {Cone Length=0.5315" Bore=1.4961" Outer Diameter=2.4803" Width=0.669 StoundOut=0.138" Cup Length=0.5315"}
Front Wheel; (RWD); Inner

and here are the specs for the Monaco Bearings.

BCA/NATIONAL Part # A17 {Cone Length=0.47" Bore=1.3772" Outer Diameter=2.3622" Width=0.625 StoundOut=0.155" Cup Length=0.47" Cone Radius=1.203"}
Front Wheel; Inner

What measurements are the crucial one to be the same.  I am wondering If another bearing might be able to be found that will work.

your bore diameter, your outer diameter and your width should be the same.
