Topic: best way to remove rear window? (Read 344 times)

trying to remove the rear window without damaging the seal,it was installed only 2 years ago so i'm hoping to get it out in one piece,any ideas?

If it was installed with urathane I don't think that you will save the seal/rubber gasket, as the urathane hardens and needs to be cut out. If you are doing the install send me a pm when you are ready and I will tell you which sealer to use with the gasket. I have to look for though, so when you are ready let me know, as this sealer does not get hard.

Just cut it out and save the glass. It will cost you a seal.

I agree, cut the seal, you cannot buy rear window new, if ya bust it, you'll have to find an original.

i have two good windows but i cut it out anyways.i guess i'll sell one of em' on craigslist to offset the price of a seal.is $50 a fair price?
