am i missing something?

How do you remove the glovebox lock mechanism so you can remove the outer trim plate.  I can't get the chrome knob off the lock.  Any help would be appreciated!  My new RMD is waiting.

Looks like this is for an E-body but it might help you some as I remember the procedure being similar on a friends '74 A-body.
