Topic: Yet Another Emergency Room Visit............... a bit graphic (Read 285 times)

This is one of those stranger than fiction stories. Ugh My poor ol' kitty cat who I had for 15 years (she was 17 yo) got really ill on Tue. night. She couldn't breath very well at all. So I took her to the after hours emergency clinic in the next city over. Unfortunately I had to put her down   So I am super sad, and it is late at night when I get home. So I put her in the basement and figured I give her a proper burial in the morning. Wed morning I get up and go outside. I found a spot for her in the yard. When I went back inside my feet were wet. I slipped at the top of the basement stairs and fell 8 feet straight down. I spent the rest of the day in the hospital getting treatment for my arm (in the photos) twenty stitches in all. and multiple sprains, bruises and cuts.  All I can do now is laugh. Is that sick? Today I feel like I was in a car accident. But it could have been worse. I had an AWESOME kitty for 15 years! And I didn't kill myself on the stairs. I have said many "Thank Yous" to the Big Man over the past two days    |
