picked up an old time racecar (440 a-body 727) it has drum brakes w/line lock. i know, i should go disc , but right now, i just want to play around with this monster. it`s pushing right through the line lock, meaning, the front tires are just rolling on. i never really adjusted front drums for this application before. any ideas, please? and thanks .

you may need to adjust the shoes closer to the drums,or replace them if they are glazed.you might want to mic your drums too. does the master look old?it will never be perfect

It will push through the linelock unless you have some water down to let the rears slip a little. Did you try to power brake it to get it started?

Has someone outside the car seen the front tires turning? I've seen cars hold the front wheels from turning and skid the tires across the pavement.
