Okay... don't know who I "borrowed" this from but if you see it and do not want it on the board please let me know and I will remove it. I am just wondering if this will work?
I measured everything and the only difference was my wheel well was roughly 1/4 to 1/2" wider. So theoretically if I find 10" wheel with 5.5" backspacing then I would need my rear to be 53" drum to drum? And 4.5" backspacing would be 51" drum to drum... I think I am on the right track.

Wow that is really hard to read. Anyway the summary of what it states is that the measurement outside of frame rails is 38.5". Put a 10" wheel in a 14" opening leaves 2" per side, so with 5.5" backspacing the total length drum to drum would be...
38.5 + 4 (2 inches per side from inside wheel edge to frame rail) + 11" (total backspacing) = 53.5" total length drum to drum...
Any questions class? plus the 2" extra per side leaves room for a 11 to 12 inch wide tire.

No problem man. Feel free to use it. That chart was helpful to me when I measured mine for the rear end cut. However; I relied more on the "visual" than the mathmatiicle to begin with. I centered tire/wheel combination in the well, and measured the inside wheel mounting surface, wheel to wheel. Since I was going to have Strange Engineering build my diff; they figured the other measurements (which vary depending on what brakes you will be using) When i drew that chart up; all I knew at the time was how far apart my relocated leaf springs were. Those were the only "precise" measurements they (Strange) needed to know. Oh yeah; these measurements were on a pre 67' A Body (the little one) I have 10 inch wheels with 4.5" backspacing. The spring perches were 34.5" pin to pin. The inner wheel surfaces were 51.5" apart. Hope this helps a bit

The measurements were correct then, since originally you posted 55.5 overall with 6.5" backspacing. Now you use 4.5" backspacing and your length is 51.5"... seems correct to me. I measured my 70 Swinger and the measurements were the same... I am trying to find some 15*10 wheels so I can measure them under my car... Moser has a lot of measurements they need.

I tried to find out info from Moser when i was in the process of figuring this all up and the customer service guy wouldn't be helpful at all. He laughed at me on the phone because of my lack of knowledge. But considering I had the money; I told him he just threw away $2500, and I would take my business to Strange Engineering. (Which were REALLY helpful in guiding my research) What it all boiled down to for me is that I was at a stand still until I could actually get the wheel/tire combo under the fenders to SEE the sidewall clearances and leaf spring/backspace comparisons. You might ask Tom (b569rr) as he was really helpful as well. I dunno how he did it; but he fit 13 inch wide tires under his Dart with only a mini tub.
