HI Bob: Thanks Yes, it fits flush on the bottom of the scoop with a little compression. Foam is glued on with Permatex headliner glue comes in spray can (sticky stuff) Maynard

I've been told topaint the foam to keep it from drying out and flaking apart. Is this a trick kinda foam that doesn't do this or am I missing something?

I'd think twice about painting the foam. In time the paint will dry out and likely flake off and give your carb an undesired "free meal". My fo

Thanks Guys,
But i can't take full credit for this idea..what I did was to take the Moroso Air Pan Kit (Jegs) and modify it to fit..When I got the kit I was rather dissapointed in it...It had too narrow a pan and it was way over priced ( I think) however it does have a nice piece to feed into the carb. So I basically cut their air pan in half and riveted it to the carb feed ring then found some aluminum to match the thickness and made the air pan deeper. (Sorry i'm not a tinner and don't know what gauge it is.) I used their foam.....I agree no paint actually i had to remove the " MOPAR performance" as engine heat was lifting the letters. I used small scrap steel stock for the brackets . Two in front and one in back ..if your going to build one like this let me know and i'll post the brackets ..If you do build one similar to this I guarantee you'll get lots of looks when you take off the hood, Good Luck Maynard
