RACE SHOCKS - RESULTS
« on: September 10, 2007, 11:13:09 PM »

I posted this on our sister site---thought i would post here to help out the A body guys .

I tried some new rear shocks on the Dart the last 2 race days. Old shocks were A body Mopar Performance . The new ones were Competition Engineering 3 way adjustables.

I tried the comps on 30/70 and also on the 50/50 setting .

NO improvement. NO change in 60' or ET. Save your money, stay with MP or truck shocks. Hope this helps .

dont forget--- the shock needs to extend  farther than  when the leaf spring is fully hanging down.

This is the shock we ended up putting on the dart . It is a monroe #32364 I could never come up with a application for it other than the box says LT ( light truck ) It has the right type of mounts other than the top bushing had to be enlarged a little ( DRILLING OUT A RUBBER BUSHING IS ALWAYS A PLEASURE ) and it has extended length of 28 in. and a collapased length of 16 in. they were 22.00 ea. at O'rielly auto parts.
