Ok I need to order a front end rebuild kit for my 67 Dart. Its been converted to disc at some point in the past. I ordered new calipers, rotors, pads, inner, and outer tie rod ends last year and installed them without any issues. I ordered all of these parts under an application for a 76' Volare. Now fast foward to now, I've decided to go ahead and rebuild the entire front end. I pulled the pitman and idler arms off and carried them to the local parts store, but it appears that they are not 76' Volare parts, they are 67 Dart parts. I didnt think you could mix 67 and 73-76 steering componants The store could order the 67 pitman for 77 bucks, but the 67 idler is unavaible. I vaguely remember something about the 67 idler arm being a one year only item. I'm pretty sure I need to order control arm bushings for a 73-76 A body, but this 67 pitman/idler arm thing has me confused. Is it ok to mix those steering pieces from different years? If so, who sells a 67 idler for a reasonable price? I can provide pics of any of the pieces off the car if neccessary. Thanks guys!

the bushings are the same 63-76 for uppers and lowers. the idler can be gotten, psc in arizona carries it. so does rare parts in california, but you need an account. it can run pretty steep since it is a 1 year only piece. yes you can mix and match, 67-76 has the same width fram so the centerlink is the same distance. they used different tie rods since the brakes got moved to the front in 73, but they are the same length. if you get tie rods and sleeves, get i think 74-78 c-body 11/16" tie rods and sleeves(es355l and es352r??). the tapered end is the same but the threaded adjustment end is thicker(yours are 9/16") and is 50% stronger.
