duster rear wheel backspace question
« on: September 19, 2007, 02:54:59 PM »

I am looking at a set of weld rodlite wheels 15x12 with 7.5 inches of backspace. Will these fit on my Duster. Car has been minitubbed to frame rails with springs moved. Standard width a body 8 3/4 rear. I cant go measure since I am at work and found a steal I have to make the call very soon.

Those seem a little wide in my opinion.
I've done the same thing to my Duster and I have 14" from wheel well lip to the frame rail.
You need an inch of room on both sides of the tire so that leaves you with a 12" tire at the widest point.
I think the more common set up is a 15x10 rim with a tire that is 12 to 12.5" wide at the widest point.
Your mileage may vary.
