I'm doin OK, Thanks, they took her breathing tube out today, she woke up, and started fightin it, she had to be tied down...she was trying to pull everything out...but I guess that's normal..  ....Man it's hard to see that... ...finally they took it out and she's breathing on her own...still a long ways till she's back, but at least she has the fight left in her....She opened her eyes, and I think she knew us, but we're not sure...Only can go in for 10 minutes at a time 3 times a day...I guess she needs her rest right now....I came home for a while....what a tough lady she is.....

She was awake, and even doing a little talking...She kept saying over and over, I"M ALIVE...I think she thought she wasn't gonna make it...I guess she has a guiding angel cause this is a miracle....

Just got back from the morning trip to the hospital...She seems a little better except she's talking a little crazy...I asked her how she felt?  She said "How do you think I feel? I'm dead"  So I asked her what she had for breakfast, she said some " Friggin juice"  ...I said well what did you want?  "She said a Steak".... ...I said well do you want me to try and get you one?  She said, "Well how the hell do you expect me to eat it?  I'm dead"...this is driving me nuts.  I think at one point during this whole deal she did die...She keeps talking about seeing my deceased dad in heaven, and he's with his old girlfriend, and she wants to get there so she can kick her ass... ...Oh boy......

Just talked to one of the Dr's...Her Kidneys are shutting down and her blood pressure is way low, the medication there giving her to get it back up isn't working, he explained the 20% chance of survival is NOW, not during the surgery....I thought yesterday she was doing good....I guess that's what they meant when they said day by day....

Pinke so sorry to hear all of this, I just came on board. I will put your moms name in our Church's prayer box. There are very few words that can bring comfort in times like this. Just know as you already demostrated that you have so many friends who are praying for you and your mom. As difficult as it may be, you need to make sure that you are getting as much rest as you can and that you are eating properly. You won't be much help to your mom, if you let your health deterioate. It is nice to see that you have had a chance to spend some quality time with your mom. That is huge in the event that God decides he needs he more that you. Do your best not to worry, because things are literlally in God's hands and I know he is a healer. He healed my mom in a similar situation and gave us a few extra years with her before he called her from labor to reward. I pray God's riches blessings on you and your family right now, knowing that God does not make mistakes (it's just our perception of his action at that moment in time). Have an awesome day sister!!!

Sometimes I think there lying to us...They say she's doing good, then why does she look worse today than she did yesterday?  Why are they giving her blood transfusions?  She has a blood clot now where they did an angeogram, they stick this thing in her vein thru her groin area, today she developed a hemotoma there, she thinks she has an infection...I'm getting more and more alarmed.  My brother thinks there just keeping her alive so they can get more insurance money...I'm beginning to wonder that too....Ughh...I need some sleep.....

PinkE...does your mom have a living will?  Are they using artificial life support of any kind?  You need to ask the doctors if she is in pain and what is her prognosis, if the prognosis is poor discuss hospice so that she is pain free and peaceful and if her prognosis is good, then God Bless the doctors.  You need to be a pain in the ass.  The medical staff need to explain things better to you so that you know what to expect.  Are they working on a prayer?  They should know what is expected as they've done this procedure before your mom.  Get pushy.  If you need me, call anytime.  You got my number.  MUAH!
