lower ball joints
« on: September 25, 2007, 09:18:03 PM »

I'm changing from drum brakes to disc brakes on my 71 duster. I removed all the brake hardware from a 1982  5th avenue, but i noticed the lower ball joint stayed in the control arm on  the 5th avenue, and on my duster the ball joint came off with the spindle. I already bought tubular upper arms with the big joint , but i thought i didn't have to change anything on the lower arm. Can someone  explain to me what i have to do......this chrysler front end thing is driving me crazy.

Order up a set of 73-73 A Body (Dart, Duster, Valiant, Dart Sport) upper and lower ball joints and everything should be fine.
The 5th Ave spindles will work with the A Body ball joints and tubular arms.
