How big a tub do you really need? What if you just widen the stock wheel wells?

I think your not going to have room for a back seat with a full tubed car

i have seen low 10s with a 13 inch tire, i would just widen the stock wheelwells, if you truly need a 15 inch tire, then you should be putting a 4 link in it also, and back seats and 4 link dont match, so if you plan on running in the 8 or 9s, then why do you need a back seat, with stock framerails you can get a 13 inch tire in there with a little massaging, a 30x13 slick will get you a whole lota traction

You can tub a barracuda and keep the back seat easily. The cage vs seat is more of a problem than the tubs are. Keep the tire diameter within reason and remember you will also have to cut out the inner panels in the rear.

Thanks for all the input. That 15 inch diameter isn't set in stone.I'm trying to build a pro-street car.So i thought keppin the rear seat might be kinda cool. But well see what happens LOL

Before you go stuffin' all that tire under that car, remember all those ten inch tire guys that run in the eights and nines. I was going to put huge tires under my roadrunner, but then I thought about it... If I'm not runnin" nines, I'll look like a punk.

well the guys running 8s on a 10.5 run like 180mph and are making gobs of power,

a prostreet car would be great with 12 inch slicks monoleafs and caltracsget you traction in the 9s

I think the setup Moparrr07 just mentioned sounds good. A four link or ladder bars would work also. I kinda like keeping my Mopar very Mopar, so I'd probably go leafs and Caltracks.

I have a 67 CUDA Fastback with a 28x10.5x15 without tubbing my car that works well.As you well know there is only about a inch between the frame rail and the wheelhouse and the inside panel is almost touching the wheel house so I decided to leave mine alone. There is to much work for so little extra room for tire clearance. They are running pretty quick on a 10.5 tire these days anyway.Ultimately it your choice. To tubbed I would go with a 4 link.
