OK........................I finished up the rear drum to disk break swap this weekend..........finally

!
It looks good and operates very well.
The one item that I noticed before doing the brake swap was that the adjustable snubber I put onto the differential assembly a few years back was adjusted all the way down and the floor pan was sitting on the rubber mount. so apparently my leaf springs are pretty much shot.
I installed the old stock snubber and it is working well except that the back of my Dart sits much lower now.
Getting onto my problem and question'sI found when I was testing the Dart out. I noticed that when I made any type of a turn that I could hear a clanking noise

I pulled it into the garage and lifted the back end up and noticed that the drivers side rear shock had paint removed off of it

I noticed before I did all the work to it that there was a small amount of paint that had been rubbed off, but now it is a much bigger area.
It looks to me like the shock is either to close to the gas tank or the exhaust pipe. I think that the cause of the noise is the shock rubbing or clanking against either the exhaust pipe or the gas tank. I also checked to see if the axles had any play in them or were binding, and there not.
1.) Has anybody ever had this come up?
I know I need to get some new leaf springs or something to replace the old ones. I like Bills RMS rear setup that he has but unfortianately I lack the funds to purchase it at this time.
2.) I would like to get some exact replacements for mine, or get them rebuilt, if it is possible to re-arch them?
3.) Anybody know where I can get a drivers side leaf with 6 fulls and 1 half and a passenger side with 6 fulls and 2 halfs? My leaf springs are from an original Big Block A-body.
4.) Or can I get away with some XHD 5 leaf springs?
Sorry for being so long winded

Thanks,
Shawn
