69GTS's, your A/C work is a beautiful job, thanks for the pics ! A really neat thing about ClassicAUto Air's "Perfect Fit" system is that it uses your OEM heater controls to control the A/C. Since you car is an factory A/C car to start with, call them & see how their system could use your OEM A/C controls. I have heard CAA has great tech support. MikeR do you have any pics of your Hot Rod Air evap install & which model do you choose and were you able to keep your fresh air vent functional ? Most A/C mfgs have much smaller evap units than Mopar installed, helps on under dash space, those OEM evap units were huge. My 2 cents...

The classic system I was told, only works with the slide controls, not with the pushbutton style. But there is a cheaper way, Bouchillon Performance sells nice brackets, hose kits, and Sanden compressors, that will work with your existing a/c controls and evaporator. As a matter of fact, they have an A-body specific kit available, I priced it out for mine. $366 for the a-body kit. $160 for the "hidden a/c" bracket. and $80 for a reman Sanden compressor. Less than $600 for everything but the evaporator, which I have. http://www.bouchillonperformance.com/

Mine doesn't allow for outside air, but I think the new systems allow for it, mine is about 3 years old. For my system I built a bracket that holds it up as close as possible to the cowl (the vent are on top). Also the controls for the hot rod air system are vacuum actuated, so no worries with routing cables.
