Hemi rocker shaft orientation
« on: October 04, 2007, 11:58:33 PM »

Having a brain fart here.  The shaft has a banana slice on one side and a hole on the other.  If I recall does the banana slice go down and towards the valve?

That sounds correct to me.  In other words,  the bannana groove would be riding on the bottom of the rocker.  Thats where your pressure is from the valve spring & push rods.

On the wedge stuff, the oil hole is where the load is - on the bottom.

Yeah. The banana groove faces down so the bottom of the rocker ID is on it.

I would think that the banana slice would go on the pushrod side for the load but it's on the valve side huh?
