Early A-Body B/RB fenderwell Headers?
« on: October 05, 2007, 08:17:07 PM »

Im sure this question has been ran over a half million times but unfortunatly I havent found an answer.

Anyone know of any production headers or how much Modification it takes to use the 67 and later fenderwell headers?

If you use Bill's AlterK front end you can use 1967 and up smallblock headers (not Fenderwell) and keep everything under the car. Are you using a smallblock? Do you want to run fenderwell header? Take a look at RMS in the gallery, there's pics of an early-a with a smallblock with headers and a bigblock (440). Hope this helps. Grin

this is just a suggestion,,,i havent seen a pair of these headers off of an engine,,but the street rodders use block huger style headers,,a company named sanderson makes all kinds of block hugger style headers for all type of engines,, they do make a set for a big block mopar,,but im not sure where the exhaust exit is located,,,if it would interfear with the steering box,,, 67 and up big block fender wells headers will dump out at the edge of the fender,, you would be able to see the colector under the rocker panel,,ive seen it done before,,,

No chance of the blockhuggers fitting. Otherwise, you could use SB's with those blockhuggers too. Custom made, or modified '67 & up fenderwells are about your only chance. Don't know which is easier because I haven't modified the newer headers myself, but I know which solution is better.  Grin
