Convertor Stall..........
« on: October 06, 2007, 04:54:18 PM »

Recently bought a 3400 stall convertor for my 383 Duster.

BUT, with the footbrake applied, I can only really get say 2K before the rear end starts to hook.........

Am I missing something here or do I have a bad vertor Huh

No and no............Converters act differently on each engine........to do a stall test u use high gear , not 1s or 2nd, also it depends greatly on ur tires, also it will always flash higher, and ur motor could be alittle off........kim.............

Oldkimmer is correct  agree. A converter will stall differently for each engine it is bolted to and you use 3rd gear to check your stall. Also using a foot brake or trans brake makes a difference. If you need more or less stall, you can send it out and have it adjusted.
