hood hinges problem
« on: October 06, 2007, 09:22:33 PM »

just painted my 72 dart and i went to install the fiberglass hood on the that and it bolted easy.  It will not close. that is the not the problem (ill worry bout that later).  The problem is the pass. side of the hood overlaps the cowl by 3/8 of an inch plus. driver side is just about perfect.   the driver side hood hinge has foward and back adj to meet the hood.  the pass side has up/dowm adj.    I went to look at the parts dart, and this is vise-versa.   do i have have to break the mounting plate in the hood to adj this?     explode

You could groove the hinge mount point or shave the glass.
