Going to fiberglass. I have a very clean 1969 Barracuda hood. Flat no emblems, etc. Any ideas what I should put it for on ebay? Shipping? Et.c

if your going to ship a hood, i suggest building a wood frame around it. ive had 3 trunk lids shipped and every one arrived with a folded over corner. take a pic uncrated and crated, and add a crating fee..... and get a shipping quote, large items arent cheap

with everything. Also, get a shipping quote for 3 different carriers, the prices can vary by 500% sometimes.

the problem is.......the hood has to be worth the added shipping cost. those flat hoods may only bring 100-150 dollars, and with 100 added for shipping it may not sell

What part of the country are you in? You can sell it on Craigslist (longshot) or list ot for local sale only on ebay, and specify that they pick it up. Also, try listing it on FABO, there are a lot of people there who might need it.

that hood is probably not worth a whole lot since im 99% sure you can get a 73 and newer dart hood and use it. the re is that 1% chance that im wrong though.

Yeah, the 69 cuda hood also fits 73 up Darts. Not a "one year only" piece. Gives you a bigger market target though. I sold my stock hood locally for $75. Could barely get rid of it...

Yeah, the 69 cuda hood also fits 73 up Darts. Not a "one year only" piece. Well, there is another piece of usless trivia that has undoubtedly displaced something usefull in in my mind.

I had a factory fiberglass ram air hood for an early 70's firebird. I put it on ebay, some guy in Kansas bought it for 200 bucks. IT COST 300 DOLLARS TO SHIP IT TO HIM. He was happy to have it.

I don't know how many of the Mopar crowd here has bought stuff on Ebay..probalbly everyone. The big thing I want to say is that depending on where you live getting BIG things like hoods or trunks etc shipped is WAY cheaper by Greyhound bus.........ok stop laughing......I bought a hood for my 1950 Plymouth wagon from a guy in North Dakota, shipping by UPS was $300.......Greyhound bus.......under $40. I drove to my nearest depot , about 20 mins. from me and picked it up........with no damage either.........just thought I'd pass that on.

greyhound can be chep but it is by no means the best way to go. it can really turn into a headache. if it was something really hard to find, i wouldnt chance it with them. the best thing you can do is just put the hood out there on craigslist or ebay, i was just saying, dont expect to cash in big time like a 69 dart powerbulge hood or some other part of your car that is actually rare and hard to find, that hood is probably the only part of a 69 barracuda that would be easy to get.
