2 packs of Kools?
No really, 2k is medium hard paint. I'd use 600/800/1000 with lots of water. Work in circles.
Resist the temptation to sand back and forth. I like to wait a couple days between spray and sanding.

When I color sanded mine I used 1000grit, then moved to 1500, then lastly 2000, then started buffing with buffer at 1400rpm. You should keep the area wet as well, a spray bottle works great for this. I started with one panel at a time. Started with 1000 and sanded east/west, then went with 1500 north/south, and finally with 2000, crosscut the first two sanding patterns. Then buffed just that area. Tape up any body lines where edges are exposed, paint is the thinnest there and with any of the sand papers, you will cut through in no time.

who's product?

some makers think there product loses durability if sanded aggressively,so they recommend a clear coat after.

wet sanding with 600 (p) is radicle.

begginer should start with a used panel and 800-1000(p) wet just to get a feel for it and to check results.

use a backing pad under the paper to even out pressure, presoak paper to help it flex, circles?,back and forth running the pad at an angle so the edges don't dig ridges or troughs in the finish.

practice on a similiar product that is on your project, example get painter to spray an old door or panel for you to practice on.

and when you do finnaly get to your car start down low were errors are not noticeable, don't go gung-ho on the hood first Wink

A beginner should not start with anything lower than 1200 grit! Even 1500 will burn through and edge in no-time flat. Go to Autobody101 forums and learn a little before you start.
