Quarter window Rollers
« on: October 14, 2007, 03:27:07 PM »

Speaking of quarter windows...I'm looking for the nylon roller that goes in the quarter window on the darts (mine is 67).  I've tried the rollers from both Year One and Jim's Both split along the seam before they could even be installed.  I'm hopeing someone else has them from a different supplier that will not split,  anyone had good luck with this paticular roller.  Or know of a replacement roller of a different material.

Funny you should mention that.
I bought rollers for my 69 from RT specialties.
One of my rollers split in three places, and I have not even installed it yet.
Mine have white rollers which is not good for UV light.
If they were black in color they may be better. Just like nylon ties, the white ones will crack over time as opposed to the black ones.

Hello gt:
Yeah, I had a  pair form RT to start with and both of them were split before we even tried to install them.. btw the person instaling these for me is a proffessional who specializes in restoration of window and glass work on vintage and musscle cars so he knows what he is doing..

Just curious, were all your rollers the white nylon material?

No only one of the rollers is the white nylon materisl.  The others are black, and according to, my expert that is the correct configuration.

OK, Then. Back to your original question.

Who makes quarter window rollers that don't crack?
