Will 15x7s clear front disks?
« on: October 23, 2007, 09:04:21 PM »

Stock 10.87 disk brake set up on a 73 Dart.  I plan to run an Addco front sway bar that picks up the lower shock bolt.   If I put the calipers to the rear,  will stock Mopar 15x7s fit up front?   I didn't measure the BS, but they are off a 5th ave.

Thanks>  (I'm guessing Jim will answer this one!)

They should. My 15x7 cop rims fit fine, no clearance problems. Same rotors, caliper location shouldn't affect anything.

The back space is like 4". And they fit fine on my car with discs from an '84 fury.

They'll fit. The wheels on Jeff's Dart are 15x6.5 rallyes.

I'm just going by what I had on the 72 Scamp; 15x6.5 in the back, 15x6 up front.   I like running the same size tires all around.  Any idea of a good size that will clear all 4 corners?   235/60-15?

These will go on a 73 Swinger.

I'm using 225/70/15's. It's as tall a tire as I can get on my car (front anyway).

for the front with the standard 4.25 inch backspacing on the 7 inch rim a 235/60r15 WILL fit the dart but WILL NOT fit a duster/valiant- clearance issues are at the rear of the fender lip, the dart go back at enough of an angle, the plymouth ones curve back around
