Hey All,
I have heard of people flushing their brake systems out with alcohol before switching from dot 3 to dot 5 fluid.
My problem is that the brake system is FILTHY!!!! I am hesitant to put new wheel cylinders in and then gunk 'em up with all that lovely brown MUD that is in the system now.
Anyone have a magic trick for cleaning the lines out? Thanks!
Chris

I just did the brakes on My 60 Comet. I was replacing master and all 4 wheel cyls. I just blew compressed air through all the lines. My fluid looks nice now.

running a masters worth of fluid through the line should clean it.if not, then i would replace the lines.

I would pull clean fluid through the lines first, then flush with alcohol.
